How scoring works
BabyGuessr uses population statistics to make scoring fair, fun, and surprisingly accurate.
Every guess is measured against actual birth data. Weight, length, and timing guesses are compared to what really happens when babies arrive — so the leaderboard rewards both accuracy and plausibility.
Each guess gets a GPS rating: Very Plausible, Plausible, Unlikely, or Wild Guess. It shows whether your prediction falls within typical ranges or ventures into outlier territory. Wild guesses can still win if they're accurate — but typical guesses get a fairness boost.
Whether you've had five kids or this is your first baby board, everyone's playing by the same rules: real data, clear categories, and a scoring system that celebrates both knowledge and lucky guesses.
Your family's moments belong to you, and we keep them protected.
BabyGuessr uses lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how people use the site, never to identify you or your guests.
BabyGuessr works beautifully even if you're not hosting a shower, or if loved ones can't attend in person.

Your celebration doesn't need a venue. It just needs the people who care.
The Guess Plausibility Score (GPS) shows whether your guess falls within typical birth ranges or ventures into wild territory. It's based on real population data - so guessing 15 lbs might be accurate, but it's statistically rare. GPS makes scoring fairer for everyone.
